God of The Kitchen ( II )

Therefore, he goes to meet with his ex-wife again. His ex-wife ask him " where are the Zongzis?" He said " They were robbed ". At the sme time, her husband gets back. Zao Jun try to hide himself, he urgently hide himself inside the cooking stove . The man would like to take a shower and he said " I will boil the water myself". His wife said " No, you cannot do it, I will do it for you". However, her husband persist in boiling water by himself. He put the firewood into the cooking stove and fire the wood. Therefor, Zao Jun died in the cooking stove.

After Zao Jun pass away, his ex-wife worship toward the cooking stove everyday. Her husband ask her " Why do you worship the cooking stove everyday"? Surely, she could not tell the truth. She said so " We need to thank the cooking stove and pots. We can live in the world because of thess equipment can live in the world".

Afterward, everyone think that she is right. Every household worship the cooking stove and pots. The Jade Emperor rewards Zao Jun as the Kitchen God. Besides, he must present the yearly report to Jade Emperor on Dec. 24th of the Chinese calendar. This is the story of Zao Jun.

God of The Kitchen ( I )

In Chinese folktale, the Kitchen God, named Zao Jun. Before he become the Kitchen God. He is an idle guy. He does nothing everyday. There is one old saying " The devil makes work for idle hands".

Once he borrows from other people for gamble. He gambled away all his money, property, and even his wife. His wife, therefore, remarry a man who lives by chopping firewood.
Zao Jun has no money to buy things, so he goes to meet with his ex-wife. His ex-wife makes a couple of Zongzis and puts money into the Zongzis. Meanwhile, she tell him that these Zongzis are for you , remember, do not give them to others.

Afert leaving, he bump into the people who loan money to him. They said " pay back the money". He said that I do not have money. They said " What is it on your hands?" He answers " they are for eating". They said " That is fine" and rob the Zongzis and run away.

Formosan Black Bear

Formosan black bear, also known as the white-throated bear because there is a V-shaped white mark on the chest. They are strong and sturdy, with rough, thick paws, a short tail. They can stand up straight while they are seeking foods or getting threatened or attacked. They are omnivorous animal. They eat almost anything, such as dead snake, rotten meat . Tree-climbing is their specialty.

Formosan black bears are always solitary. Wintertime is their mating season. Also, it is the season for sleeping. The bear mother give birth after is pregnant with 8-9 months. The mother bear will nurse her cubs till they are one years old. When the bear cub is strong enough, they will leave the ven and live dependent.

Currently, they can be found at the Central Mountain Range of Taiwan only. The Formosan black bears were listed as endangered animals.

Suao Cold Springs

Suao Cold Springs is located in the side of the road of the Suao Cold Springs Road, in Yilan County, Taiwan. There are only two Cold Springs in the world, and the Suao Cold Springs is one of the largest. The admission for residents of Yilan County is free. It is a welfare for people who live in Yilan.

The Suao Cold Springs is a kind of carbonic acid spring with rich volume of carbon dioxide (CO2)and iron. The water tempreture is about 20 degrees centigrade, and the water is pure and clear. It is drinkable and bathable. You will not feel cold when you get into the pond at first. Within two minutes, you will fee heat all over the body and will feel free and cozy. The best one is it is therapeutically.

Diamond

Diamond is unbreakable. It is renowned for its hardness. It is composed of 100% of carbon element. Owing to diamonds are formed at high temperature and high pressure conditions, its array is very neat. It is the highest hardness of mineral and is high vlaue of diamond. Diamond is the durable gemstone, due to its large hardness and its great ability to refraction light . It colorless and transparent which can be decoration and engraving. Usually, one 7 grams of diamond was formed wiht 100 tons of blue mineral after cutting and grinding.

The main four important place of origin are Africa, India, Russia and South America, in whihc South Africa supply the most of gemstons. Carat is a unit of mass for gemstones. One carat equal to 0.2 gram. Most diamonds come form the ancient pluton and placer deposit of the bend of rivers. The largest diamond in the world weigh 530carat which was mounted on the imperial cane in UK. The tourists can see the tremendous diamond from The Tower of London.

The Twin Towers of The World Trade Center

The World Trade Center was located in Lower Manhattan in New York City. It had seven buildings. The World Trade Center Towers were the tallest buildings from 1972 to 1973. The most remarkable were the North Tower and South Tower. The North Tower stood 1368 feet tall, was completed in December 1972. The South Tower was 1362 feet high, finished in July 1973. They are a symbol of American Trading.

Unluckily, it was destroy by terrorism - Osama Bin Laden in September 11, 2001. It is said that it was a suicide attack and caused both buildings collapsed, serious damage and death. The death toll of the attacks was 2,996, including the 19 hijackers. This is the event of September 11. It will never be forgotten by the people of New York or American. However, the site is currently being rebuilt with six new skyscrapers and a memorial.

Maple Tree

There is a particularly maple is called Sugar Maple. When autumn comes, the leaves will change colour from green into red.

Maple tree is a species of hardwood. The color of the leaves will change into Golden. It is very spectacular. Canada has became a prominent tourist attraction of leaf-watching because of the particular landscape .

Maple is the major source of sap for making syrup. There are two ways for collecting the sap from the maple tree. One is to drill the hole using a drill and hang a bucket or container on the hook of the spout. Another is using plastic tubing to collect the sap and directly transmit the tree sap to the sugar house. Then, proceed with filtering, boiling at the evaporator. Finally, the maple syrup is produced.
